Description
Magneto and his young daughter Lorna/Polaris.Inspired more from the animated 'Wolverine and the X-men' TV show rather than the endlessly complicated comics continuity that is the X-verse.
I really liked the idea of Polaris being Magneto's youngest daughter, and being so pleasant in nature that both Magneto and his eldest -and not crazy in this continuity- daughter Scarlet Witch are rather protective of, even though Polaris is possibly the most powerful of his children.
By contrast the comic version of Polaris has had a very convoluted/random history and is older, but i have to say i never found the comic book version of her interesting to be honest.
Then again i haven't read an X-men comic for a while and this may have changed.

Shit like that is why I stuck to the Lobdell/Nicieza/Simonson incarnations in the comics.

To be honest, both companies have the exact same problems for me. As for Polaris, the best version remain the X-factor one. That's where she was written as a character of her own...

i liked how in wolverine and the x-men shows that magneto cares about polaris and would do anything to keep her safe

Polaris is younger than the Maximoff twins as they were both born after WWII but were preserved and let out a lot later but before Polaris' birth. (Comics are F*cking weird)
Comic Polaris mainly suffers from having Havok involved in her stories otherwise I'd say she's pretty interesting, she is one of my favorite characters so I'm probably biased.
But I love this and I'm sharing it on my Polaris blog (Crediting you of course)

I've never been a fan of Havok in any form ( comic, animation or live action ) but i think Polaris has a lot of potential if they moved her a bit more in line with her animated incarnation.

true that...I find it annoying that Marvel retcons history and family history at times...recently in Marvel's AXIS comic event, Marvel really changed Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's connection with Magneto

I sometimes think Marvel has never really been fussed about their characters continuity, which leads to curious moments with their characters.

She was his daughter in 1968 and they retconned she wasn't in 1969 and then undid the retcon in 2002/2003.
Look at it this way Wanda and Pietro have had three fathers so far and in the comics they just retconned their parentage again and said they aren't Magneto's children.
