Nathaniel lamented not having any of his fellow leaguers here, despite having never actually fought Despero himself, judging from the JLA files the alien had scored high on the list of foes he would rather not face without extensive backup, on the other hand between himself and Kara they possessed an amount of destructive power that was rarely used for fear of injuring the less durable teammates. He focused his energies into his blasts.
