With the recent "52" revamp of DC, i was suprised at the alteration to Powergirl, giving her a more teenager like body, a "Supreme" clone costume, and shoving her back out of the mainstream DC universe back into "Earth 2". Anyhow, this picture is how i think she should look.

I felt DC have missed another opportunity to finally fix Powergirls origins and keep her in the main universe. It would have been easy to have have made her another Kryptonian survivor alongside Superman and Supergirl, and a distant rather than immediate cousin. It's a simple solution, and much more reasonable than anything DC has come up with for over 20 years.

It also allows for her own Symbol, since as a Kryptonian she should have a family/faction/household symbol. Supermans and Supergirls House of El symbol resembles an "S", and if Powergirl was from a different household then Powergirls symbol could vaguely resemble a "P" which would be a decent enough reason for her name.

I have tried to make as flowing as i could in the manner of the "S" symbol. It also fills the keyhole that tends to distract opinions about the character, while keeping what is in many ways, a distinctive costume. I felt the chest area needs either the hole or a symbol, else it just looks bland.

To be honest though, she doesn't need a symbol.
