Sniper Wolf, sniper supreme of Metal Gear Solid, her only appearance in the series due to her death in combat with Solid Snake. I would still say she is more memorable than any of her imitations in later games.

'Sniper Wolf' was a remarkably sympathetic character, lacking the overt sadistic streak that several of the other members of her squad 'Foxhound' possessed. Knowing little other than battle and war in her life, she became a Sniper, and as the dying Sniper Wolf put it, "I wasn't waiting to kill people, I was waiting for someone to kill me".

Sniper Wolf was designed by Yoji Shinkawa.
