This was a 'guaranteed' sketch from a con this summer, and the eBay winner (that's how we let people fight it out) picked Maggie the Mechanic from the Hernandez Bros.' LOVE AND ROCKETS. One of the all-time greatest comics, period.

When is the next ebay auction? I live in Abu Dhabi, it's a bit difficult to catch you at a convention.

For the time being, the auctions are linked to conventions Adam attends. The winners have to be present at the convention to collect their sketch. But we are considering doing auctions that will be open to everyone, anywhere, once we finish the convention season in December. Thanks Allison. If I won a US based auction I know enough people who love me enough to go collect it (depending on con location). But I don't expect anyone to go and stand in line for me. That's too much to ask. I know that one day I will have an Adam Hughes sketch.

Make sure you read the auction description; the piece MUST be collected at the specified convention by the winner, with a photo ID to prove the person is in fact the person that won the auction. These guaranteed ebay auction sketches are, for the time being, meant specifically for the convention attendees. Once we get out of convention season, we'll look at doing auctions for sketches without location restrictions.

With your "guaranteed" sketches do you do them before hand or are they also done at the Con?

It depends on my schedule leading up to the con.

If the auction winner prefers to watch Adam work on them, we offer them the choice of doing them at the show. But often times, Adam can get a more detailed piece done by doing it at home, without the interruptions that come with a convention. But Adam is correct; a deciding factor is often how busy his work schedule it.
