Wow, I am really in love with this composition. The radiant warmth of the sun amidst the subdued purples immediately drew my eye, but the path to the city brought me back to our pair of travelers and horses. And then back again thanks to the overall direction you created with the one looking off, the other pointing, and even the horses' ears pointing to the city.

Really beautiful painting. The lighting is magnificent! One little critique, the horses don't quite look right in relation to the men. I love the style and look of them, but where they're necks and bodies should meet... hmm doesn't quite look right. But everything else is sooo fantastic!

You're exactly right, and I knew that going in too, I just really wanted to squish the riders and horses' heads into a small space. Next time I'll try to find a more realistically possible solution.
