could you give me some pointers on drawing starfighters... especially blueprints

Thanks No problems in modeling so far so I hope it will be good.

Thanks. The scale will probably change a bit during modeling but it is mean to be that small

Very cool. I hope you do this as a work in progress as well. Always gives me ideas for physical models.
I always wondered, why do they need to physically include a personal robot?
This is not something new, I have wondered this since I was a wee lad watching SW back in 1977.
I knew then, that they were both machines and regardless of form, could function, logically at any rate, in an identicle manner.
Likewise with the Cylon Raiders from the original BSG. That was one thing that they corrected in the re-telling of BSG... if only they could have brought interesting plots from the original sries as well. A boring soap opera either set in a Hospital of a General sort, or set on a rag tag fleet of ships is still a boring soap opera.
Of course this does not reflect on your fine work, just my bitching about a show with grand ideas and really lousy execution.

Thanks Work in progress will be surely made for this one, as soon as I get the 3D model up. It would be awesome to see one of my ships as a physical model - even I wanted to make one but I don't have the required skills.
As for the robots, I think they were a kind of "upgrade" because they made complex calculations impossible for the standard on-board cpu.
Can't tell anything about the old BSG though - I was born more than 20 years after the original Star Wars and I was a few years old when I watched the trilogy for the first time. BSG was pretty much non-existent in my country, just as most of the sci-fi shows. That's mostly because we were under communist rules up to the year I was born and most of the "western" stuff didn't reach us for a long, long time.
I watched the nuBSG and I must say that I liked it quite a lot - it's easily in one of my top series. However, since I was raised in the era of CGI, it's hard to go back because my BSG nostalgia will only reach the memories of the new series ... I will watch it later this year though because they will be airing it during the summer. For now I am trying to catch old trek series - TNG and Voyager, along with X-files.

Wiki to this ship ? All of my designs are original and are not canon nor expanded-universe.

I always liked astro-units in SF's. This is a very neat ship. It also pleasantly reminds me of Skipray Blastboat (A compact version without the central foil.) What I like about your ships in general is their relative ease to picture in mind as if they were in a SW movie even without model follows up the preceding hand drawing. (Can't wait for the model for this one though)
A note: I have realised you favor inteceptors over larger space superiority fighters, bombers or multipurpose fighters. I would really like to see your designs for SF's over 10 meters long

Thanks Most of my ships are simple so that's the reason they're easy to imagine in 3D
Modeling will start later today so it shouldn't be long before a render is available.
As for the style of the ships, I will do one more ship and then get to bigger units, probably following the same pattern (B-wing relative, X-wing relative etc.)

I think I beat you to it check out this link for my new fighter. Our previous conversation about adding X swing wings to your design inspired me when you thought it wasn't the best option for your design so I did mine. Let me know what you think about it. [link]

I can see a lot of similarities to the A-wing, I also like the location of the Droid. Cockpit looks a bit cramped though, but on a ship this small looking I guess pilot comfort is not a primary focus.

Thanks The cockpit is just a bunch of lines without any sense so it shouldn't be an indication of its dimensions and look.
