How tranquil and peaceful, was this taken with a tripod and a long timed exposure? The soft appearance and lack of colour really add to it aswell. Good job!

lets get this into perspective
have you noticed that many people are portraying jetty's?
they also succeed in expressing the quality of a jetty as being an incomplete bridge of perception
or a point of interface between will and creation?
that which made us meets that which we make
there must be 1000's of images like this
i have done them also
in a collective aspect, what are we saying as sensitive members of a species and shared culture?
when we portray and duplicate....albeit with skill and sensitivity...and are at the same point?
are there any other archetypes we are comprehending?
old houses? rusty cars? bridges? horizons of lakes and big skys?

Superb work my friend, instantly recognised the location as well, stood there many times in the past. Your photo is composed perfectly the jetty drawing you into the frame, the water leading to the fells, and the clouds floating on by. Brings back many memories of Cumbria, and boy would I like to be back there for good!! Excellent work

This kinda shot is a bit of a cliche but the clouds and the mountains really adds to the idea! great shot

Oh, it's definitely a huge cliche, but I couldn't go to the lakes without getting my own take on it Just one of those things you have to do
