The oligopolies are hard at work to make sure they get as much of your money as possible, particularly the telecom and federal industries, (especially when the work so closely together... like sleeping in the same bed with the FCC’s chair being a former lawyer for Verizon).

But yup, that's what's been going around. 
True, but I don't think they actively make any more Looney Tunes either, or at least not that I'm aware. But it's not just the designs. It will be an entirely new show, with probably different voice actors as well, a totally new generation. I'm more curious about the stories myself since that's what really attracted me in the first place. We'll probably find out in a few years.
Also, as for your POV display, that finally came to mind is that I think you'd essentially treat it as a row/column matrix, except since the cycle of the column is of course fixed mechanically, you only have to manage the rows.

The numbers themselves would be something like this, with bit 3 being the topmost row and the LSB, bit 0, being the bottom most row, flashed in this order after detecting a complete rotation:

Another thing that came to mind that I didn't think about at the time is that bleeding might be an issue, like the light of one row bleeding into another row that should be off/dark. I suspect that's why your 'F' seemed a little fuzzy when i saw it.

Yeah, some of the designs look alright, but I think they should take the original design and make it CGI/3D animated and add a little detail, like realistic fur without changing the character design or any of characters. I think it should be a continuation of the story from where Friendship is Magic left off. Also, I mistakenly sent you an email with this comment because I had a hard time logging in to DA. Doing fine now.

Well, apart form the purpose of the series, to market toys, I think the idea of starting fresh is so they don't have to deal with the corners some writers have written the series into or the loose ends that were never addressed. Besides, it would be interesting to see how their dynamic changes, (particularly with Twi as an earth pony). Perhaps they won't end up quite as much of a stereotype in certain episodes, but this all remains to be seen.

I wonder what could happen if the Friendship is Magic series never ends? That's what happened to the Simpsons, they still make new episodes and the series ran for over 20 years. There's also new Sponge Bob episodes still being made.

There's still Simpsons and Spongebob episodes being made!? ... Well, I suppose that in of itself is a good answer to the question. People have seen it and probably moved on to different things. One would have to spend a lot of time to follow an entire series that long. But also those shows are also probably more oriented toward selling advertising space rather than toys. Considering a child's attention span and even the general population's thirst for the new, latest, and greatest, the idea of a new generation of ponies starts to make sense.
Can't say I'm a fan of Moliminous considering his click-bait method of presenting videos. Not that points made are necessarily invalid, but it basically boils down to his expression of what anyone else could express while covering some more details. But the problem is few things are officially established and thus subject to change without warning up until an official announcement.
Keep in mind is that MLP is, (somewhat unfortunately), a franchise owned by Hasbro and the creators change at their discretion. Not merely their ideas, decisions, and direction, but the entire team, people, or studio(s) they decide to produce their shows/movies. This is the very reason Faust left and why we have more than two alicorns. So depending on Hasbro's direction, yes, unfortunately political correctness would well plague G5. However, given Hasbro's track record, dollar signs aren't the only things in their sights, (unlike Disney, which has already openly opted for political correctness with respect to homosexuality). Hasbro also knows as a company that mass inclusion and high market reach means not offending Christians or other religious groups. Plus, with a new generation, in addition to catching people craving something new, they can also sell more to the die-hard collector fans. ^^ So... We'll just have to wait and see and hope for the best!

My Thoughts on MLP G5 Rumors (Potential Spoilers)So you've probably heard about the massive MLP leaks lately. Among those have been a supposed plan for a Generation 5.
However, the leaked concept art and information is highly debated on if it's real or not. I'm not going to share the images since it's a touchy subject for a lot of people, but by now if you want to see them, it's easy to find if you google "My Little Pony G5".
So, while the images are convincing, to me they look more like a really nice quality fanart than something a show would produce. From an animator's point of view, while the designs are pretty to look at, they are very complex and not practical at all to animate. I've heard rumors that it will be done in 3D instead of 2D (which is a huge disappointment), but even then, the designs have a LOT going on that would be distracting as an animated character.
It gives the impression that the show will:
1. Cut corners on animation quality to make up for the time it takes to work with that muc

Pretty good reads. I see that second one agrees about the complex characters being difficult to animate, but that's only a problem for 2D characters, though still distracting for sure in any dimension.
All-in-all, I pretty much agree, though I'm not too crazy about making them look equine. The style is what initially drew me as per my first journal post on DA.

I love FIM. The animation style of FIM looks groovy. Most people still love FIM (G4). I think Hasbro could be using planned obselecence to market new toys.

Kind of interesting you mention that. Functionally, the toys wouldn't have a problem "working" for years, but toys themselves are generally doomed to obsolescence just by the rapid growing and aging of their children possessors who develop different interests as time passes. Rather than passing them onto newer generations, I imagine most of them end up in storage somewhere or otherwise redistributed if not thrown away in more cases than I'd want to optimistically estimate. While I'm sure a fair bit are obtained second hand, I'm sure certain collectors also go after them. But sadly, marketing and materialism is the name of the game, which ultimately is why storytelling suffers in most cases.

I meant to mention that. ^^ Not just yet, however, I'll have to check again, but it seems if I plug in power to the lower power supply and amplifier board with the main communications and processing board disconnected, I can measure voltages I'd generally expect to see, 3.3V for logic power being one of them. But when I connected the main board, it measured 0V. So it seems a direct short may be present on the main board, but since the chips are QFN and/or BGA, I can't physically access any of the pins to measure them safely (otherwise I'd look up which pins to measure, namely power and ground). But I haven't looked to see any test points on the underside yet. I also noticed the LEDs on the power board don't light, so they may well be controlled by the main board.
It may be irreparable unless it's a capacitor that's shorted on the main board.

Yes, you left it on my bed. It kind of blended in with my clothes on the bed, so I didn't see it when I went to check.
It does, I checked it close to it's rated current with a resistive load. ^^ But it's also 15V, and there's no logic today that's at 15V, and since no lights come on, I suspect it's the built-in power supply and amplifier board at the bottom.

...I would probably ask them to clarify what they meant. Everything happens for a some kind of reason, but that's not to say the reasons are out of the ordinary or that there's some special or meticulous strategy behind every event. So generally speaking, not everything happens for a particular reason. From the perspective of things "not happening" for a reason implies that it was supposed to, was expected, was desired, or was planned to happen. Of course that doesn't mean the inhibition of an event is anything more than some other opposing force such as weather, natural disasters, market conditions, human efforts, animal behavior, etc.

What would you think if John woke from a post apocalyptic coma to realize that the world was normal and that he was wealthy instead of poor? What if he saw a dictator while he was still asleep in the coma, who told him that his life was ruined?

Because this is pure speculation, I would think that John would dismiss it as a bad coma dream, (if indeed REM sleep does happen in comas, not entirely sure myself), and first ask when and what put him into a coma. Depending on what transpired during the coma, he may still agree with the said dictator because wealthy or not, a lot of changes can occur during a coma.
