Concept art I did for Stardrift Empires, an mmo on Facebook, syfygames, and stardriftempires.com. I've been working on this project for the past few months at Blue Frog Gaming, which has been awesomely fun and challenging.

These are concepts of an ancient extinct alien race called the Seekers, who were supremely intelligent beings who acted as Ruler class over most of the known universe. so when designing these dudes, i thought it'd be interesting if they were made up of several separated parts that make a human form, with angelic touches such as energy emissions. since they were supposed to be rulers, having that kind of perfect, god-like appearance fit, where they aren't actually human, and their appearance might appear like a deity to people. i also chose a more organic, almost plant-like material and shape making up their body structure. i went more angelic or religious for the 4th/5th designs on the right, playing with symbolism of halos, wings, or hands praying or seemingly open hands. the far right design was the final design direction we went with.
