Description This dear little frog was resting inside the watering can and you can tell by his expression that he didn't think much about being disturbed.
He is a Western banjo frog or Pobblebonk Limnodynastes dorsalis. His call is a single deep explosive 'bonk' similar to that made by a banjo string.

I'm so pleased I, and my frog, made you laugh. Not an easy thing to do with photography.

We have a large garden, but it has taken quite a while to build up the number of frogs we have. We hear them more often than see them I'm afraid.

So very cute. I love frogs. I wish there were more of them here but you rarely see them in the city anymore. There still are frogs to be found in the marshy areas out in the country though.

We had a lot when we first lived in the city, but the cats of the nieghborhood got at them. You could hear the poor things screaming.

We hear tree frogs at night, especially in the summer, We get the tiny little green guys. I haven't seen any big dudes in a long time, since I've lived up north

From the different sounds, I would guess that we have 3 or 4 different species of frogs in our garden.
