The first installment of an excerpt of layout pages from the third issue of IRON MAN: HYPERVELOCITY, the ongoing miniseries I wrote and laid out for Marvel... If possible, read the actual, published issue first, which features pretty, pretty art by Brian Denham* with sweet colors by Guru eFX, and hits the stands today (March 7, '07).

You can ignore the first two panels if you like; the scene I wanted to show, here, effectively starts on panel 3. "Tony Stark 2.0," a digitized upload of the original, organic Tony Stark, now exists inside the processors of a new iteration of the Iron Man armor. Attempting to escape detection by the hostile (and misinformed) forces of SHIELD, the "empty-suit Iron Man" is driving around in a (tinted-window) sports car as the scene begins...
