The third installment of an excerpt of my layout pages from IRON MAN: HYPERVELOCITY #3... If possible, read the actual, published issue first, which features pretty, pretty art by Brian Denham* with sweet colors by Guru eFX, and hits the stands today (March 7, '07).

One of the major differences between layouts and final book involved the dialogue spoken by viral avatar "Absynthe," here... Originally, she continually addressed Tony Stark 2.0 in a highly degrading and oversexualized manner; needless to say, I had to tone down her dialogue a LOT for the printed page. Oops!

"What do you mean, I can't have her repeatedly refer to Tony Stark as being a 'slut'? That'd be an improvement over what most comics fans were calling him during CIVIL WAR...!" I didn't even TRY to keep in the line where she tells Tony that she's gonna, quote, "cyber-rape you into a wet smear of random data." Oh, well.
