Another PSM endpage humor piece... This time, the piece shows the aftermath of RESIDENT EVIL 4 losing the magazine's "Game of the Year" award to GOD OF WAR, with RE4's embittered cast drowning their sorrows and grousing about possible reasons why they lost.Explanatory note: at the time, Chris Slate was the editor-in-chief of PSM, hence the Plagas threat to TP his house. Hi, Chris!
Further note: Never got very far in GOD OF WAR, which seemed like a lot o' fun, but was WAAAAAAY too much of a DEVIL MAY CRY-style "button-masher" for my somewhat fragile drawing hand to tolerate. (Sadly, I can't play any game that requires a great deal of sustained, high-speed button-mashing, so my once-beloved fighting games are likewise off-limits now.)
On the other hand, RE4 may well be my favorite game EVAR, or is at least right up in the top five...
UPDATE: As several people have noted, the line:
"...hideous, parasitic lawyers...if you'll pardon the oxymoron."
...should, of course, read:
"...hideous, parasitic lawyers...if you'll pardon the redundancy."
No idea why/how I made this inexplicable error (I think it even reads "redundancy" in the rough version), but nobody spotted it prior to publication. Well, maybe everyone thought I was trying to kiss up to the (no doubt HUGE) demographic of lawyers who read PSM...

I am a big RE fan and RE4 was a good change in the play style. I played it like a dozen times and still had a joy in playing it.

Never played God of War but even I like games with more plot then just button mashing :/ Though I am a compulsive button masher...
I really didn't see why God of War was as great as everyone said it was though the cow suit for an alternate costume was funny XD And I only bought ResEvil to blow up cows after I saw the preview of it on G4 XD Of course, I'm past that and into the story now, yes, indeedy <.<

I know what you mean.
Since I'm left handed and lack upper body strenght and has extremley thin, fragile wrists I can never play button smasher games because you always use your right hand and mine becomes slow and tired after awhile and I'm killed easily. Which is really sad and annoying because I love Devil May Cry...and I always have to play it on easy and it really annoys me because I love the hoards of demons that attack you.....Devil May Cry is not very left-handed friendly DX

But everyone had to get used to the standard controller when they first started playing video games. I'm sure it would be way better then trying to play right handedly after you were used to it

I've owned and played all the GTA games and whatnot. I traded it for a gamecube,cause going around shooting people.Isn't exactly FUN,you know? I guess people who play PS don't really want to play a game that makes you want to THINK.
