The final, revised version of another illo that Ryan Kinnaird and I did for EA's snowboarding game SSX3. The original Elise pose at the bottom of the illo was judged to be a bit saucy for a game rated "E For Everyone," so I replaced the earlier iteration with this somewhat less egregious pose... which I actually like better, as it turns out.Anyhoo, when I get a chance, I'll dump some of the roughs for the "Elise pose revisions" over in the scraps section.

This is nice, but the little things kill it.
Her hips and boobs look too big compared to her waist [even in cartoon standards] I expected there to be a panel of her snapping in half after that first one. Itβs most noticeable in the large panel of her lying down.
Her lips look really big, and swollen in that same panel, like they were stung by bees, while her lips are really thin in the rest of the image. She is looking a lot like Anna Nicole Smith in that laying down panel. Even if she is pouting, the upper lip is far too big. Larger upper lips is a trait black people tend to have, and she looks very white to me. Try looking in the mirror and pouting yourself to get the look right.
Her mouth in the middle panel is really weird. Itβs very long, and it just dips over her chin ever so slightly that it looks really awkward and unattractive. Not to mention the one giant tooth on the top of her mouth, it reminds me of those bad American cartoons that try to copy Anime. It is way to big, and looks strange and fake when the other teeth in her mouth are so finely detailed. You need to make it less long, or add a gum line and some detail lines to show itβs not one giant monster tooth!

I actually think this one is SEXYER than the other.
Its all in the head really but I guess the people who has stakes in making money on the game wants to be darn sure they aren't offending anyone.

I like this pose, too. It adds a contrast to the action scenes behind her that I think balances out nicely; plus it makes it seem like she's taking a break. Tell Ryan the colors are great! ^^

I think I like this one better too, her expression is really cute. I love the background as well, there's so much action and stuff going on, it really makes you want to stare at the picture for a very long time! <3

Actually, you're right - this pose does look a bit nicer. It's a little more sophisticated, and the anatomy seems more naturalistic and less twisty. Plus, I can add this one to my favorites without my mother getting the wrong idea.
