Commission from Kollision Con 2015; Pencil.I like Optimus. I do. But if I'm being honest, he's kind of boring. Don't get me wrong - he should be boring. He's the kindly old leader archetype, and he needs to be the straight man for everybody else to play off of. But he isn't in my Top 5 Transformers. Not even my Top 10. I'm always surprised so many people love him so much when I find him to be so very, very dull.

He is my favorite along with Optimus Primal. Β And I have to agree with Prime Arcee, best version of the character. Β And who can't love Knock Out (Prime)? Β Nicely done by the way.

I loved both the fussy-bots on TFPrime, but Knock Out edges the win over Ratchet by landing more good comedy with better delivery more often. "I'm not just an automobile - I'm an automobile enthusiast!" Slays me every time.

Now that he's an Autobot I wonder if they'll have him guest on Robots in Disguise? Β Apparently more Prime characters are going to do so.

Dunno, man. I gave up on RID after a dozen episodes or so. It was just such a big step backward from what made Prime great, and I got tired of the repetitive episode structure and one-off "who gives a damn" enemies. If there isn't an overarching plotline to hold my interest, I'm not likely to stick around.
