Commission from Dragon*Con 2015; Copic marker, ink, white paint pen, charcoal pencil.The interesting thing about Taskmaster is that his design can pretty much go either way - goofy "old school comics" or genuinely terrifying. The costume itself doesn't have to change, just how you work with it. Here, I was trying to make him look like somebody you'd be scared to ever have to encounter.

The only exposure I ever get to Taskmaster is his interactions with Deadpool, which are always great. And I agree, his design is cool, and the skeleton face can be creepy if done right, or cartoony if that is desired.

He pops up from time to time, but he always feels like a character most creators don't know what to do with. His presentation has been all over the place, and is rarely as cool as he could be. But so it is with a lot of the second- and third-string characters: tons of potential, rarely utilized.

It was pretty alright, actually. My only issue is that it looks more like one of TM's henchmen than the man himself. A little too "TMNT Casey Jones as a hoodie thug." Not bad, but not intimidating enough to be a lead villain.

He'd be interesting, but if they brought him in I suspect he'd be like Batroc was in Winter Soldier: just a random, tough mercenary guy. I doubt he'd be much more plot-centric than that.

I don't know. But he better have a skull mask or something. I trust that they will stay true to the material.
