A page from the first issue of The Uniques, releasing in January 2008.Every page is a collaboration by myself and
we both do thumbnails, I rough up the page layout, and do final pencils on the forground figures and action, while she does background pencils. Then she takes point on the color, doing the foreground and laying out the lighting schemes, then I color backgrounds and lay in textures and some effecty things.
In this sequence, Telepath (Hope Sage) is trying to escape from an unknown facility while the guards try to sedate her. Some of the special FX hasn't been added yet, but you get the idea

I LOVE htat reflection on the bottom panel. I also LOVE (cracked me up) the hospital being telekenetically held in place.
My only real problem with this, is I don't really understand or read what's happening in the last panel on this page in the middle row. Otherwise, very sweet.

She's supposed to be swinging around the one guy's back and kicking the other one out of the elevator and into the crowd of guards. It was a tricky one to work up, and is still only about 50/50 where we wanted it to be.

I figured out that's what she was trying to do from the rest of the panels, but it really doesn't read to me...sorry. I love it otherwise, though. Seriously.

It's the absolute best, my friend. I'd have it no other way. You've always got somebody to lift you up when you're freaking out, and to keep you moving when you're in a slump. I'd never have gotten this far in my art without her, and that's no exaggeration.

Thanks! It's hard, because I tend to visualize everything as a movie, or at least as moving pictures. Finding just the right camera angles and shots to portray as complicated an action as this can be frustrating. I think we did it just well enough to be happy
