[link]The guys are all prisoners in this sequence, and Venus (the girl) uses her 'siren voice' to force them to do anything she says. Being more than a little twisted, she physically and emotionally abuses them (especially Michael) for hours on end.
She's not a nice girl. We hate her. You should too. We took this arc of Uniques to a very dark place, and while it might be hard for some to read we felt it was right for our story. Hopefully we don't lose anybody over it.
As is our custom, I drew the foregrounds and drew the backgrounds, then she colored the foreground and I colored the background.

Okay, I know we're supposed to hate her, but I dunno. I guess I kinda like her moxy. Or her choice in accessories. I love that she's got Scout's belt on as a trophy. That's kinda badass.
Michael is breaking my heart, here. Don'tcha just wanna put a blanket on him and give him a warm mug of soup?
I think the panels and especially the coloring is absolutely fab. You guys are growing so much all the time it makes me sick.

She's a tough nugget, but a serious bad egg. Moxy is great if on somebody you can also respect, but moxy on a jerk just makes them more of a jerk.
Michael would welcome your blanket and soup. He has a pretty hard time in this arc - not the sort of thing that usually happens to boys in comics. Of course, in typical comics Venus would just be there to be all slexy (that's slutty+sexy) and to make boys drool without providing any actual danger.

Very dramatic. Nice use of color, and the posing is pretty impressive.
(Is it bad that I think the dude on the left in Panel 2 looks a lot like Nightwing?)

No, we get that a lot. I'm not sure you can do a blue/black gadgeteer in a domino mask and NOT have people call him Nightwing. Some things are hard to avoid.
When he gets his gold gear on later, it's a little less Nightwingy.
