Origin: Slipnaut is based on the ribbon eel, and the eel behavior of knotting themselves to create an internal backdraft. The name is not only a portmanteau of ‘slip’ and ‘nautical’, but also a reference to the band Slipknot. The weight in pounds was chosen as a small nod to binary notation, in which numbers are represented by a series of zeros and ones. The movepool was heavily inspired by the Totodile line, which lives a similar lifestyle (an aquatic ambush predator versus a semi aquatic ambush predator, where both rely on their jaws as their primary weapons).
Slipnaut belongs to me, adarmarcus.
