Description
Arwen from the books "Lord of the Rings".Not based on the movie-version played by Liv Tyler.
Just a little something I did for practice and fun a while back.
Took about 2 hours I think.
A bit larger than A4, started and finished 31.05-03.

Wow this is the first non-Liv Tyler interpretation of Arwen I have ever seen. Great work, I really love it. She does look better than the movie Arwen. And is also more fit for the character I always imagined for Arwen. Great work, congrats!

And I agree, it's always interesting to see works from the books, and not "just" from the movie.
Visual references are so much stronger than the ones you make in your head while you're reading. But the figures from your own fantasy are just as real to the person seeing them.

I tend to draw from my head unless there is something in front of me in the room and I am bored. But to be fair, I'm not the best drawer either so I fail either way. Haha.

I like the eyes too, that's about the only thing I like about her. The shading is so not me, because it's an old piece, back in the days when I shaded differently. Might re-do it some day.
