As some others have mentioned below me, I really like the minimalistic approach you've taken to this piece - I like seeing people have a simplistic style in their artwork instead of just doing detail everywhere all the time because I appreciate the variety of what people can do, and you've done a good job on this in my opinion. The slight pop of colour in their eyes is a nice touch to break away from the black, and I absolutely love what you did with Alouette's hair; I can't really draw long curly or wavy hair on people all that well, so it's nice to see that you've pulled it off well despite it looking simplified. And you've drawn the two character's stances excellently because I think it tells a lot about them in how they're stood - the girl looks cutesy and stereotypically 'girly' because of the hands clasped together, and the guy looks somewhat serious.

There's nothing bad that sticks out about this, and all in all you've done very well. Keep up the good work!

Hello, this is quite an interesting and eye-catching piece.  It actually caught my eye because of the simplicity of the drawing. You've done more in creating these two characters with some really nice line work and some well placed contrast than most do with a lot of color and doo-dads.  It is amazing that with so little you have been able to create two distinct personalities. With Alouette, I just love the positioning of the arms and the inward tilt of her right leg. She seems so delicate, a girly girl if you will. Hans seems confident but a bit shy, at least around Alouette. You have a real terrific design here  that there is simply no suggestion that I could make that would improve upon it.

It's a simple and adorable piece. One of the unique things about colors, is that it often gives a lot of personality and character. However, the opposite can actually work in a similar way. The lack of colors actually grants a person more freedom to have their own interpretation of the character. You're given something, but not given everything, so it's a nice touch. As mentioned, it's a simple piece, but at the same time it's effective, as (again), it does not give too much away. Overall, great job with the design and simplicity. It may not have a lot of details, but it definitely demands that a person use their imagination on these two characters. Keep it up!

If I had to see what needs improvement, I would say that your proportions need a little more attention.
Aside from that, everything is good, the art style, the rendition, and the mood between those two.
