A commission from 2006, done for ~akai-no-akuma , featuring her mer-character Ahura thinking about his human friend Neri. Merfolk are a lot of fun to draw! I haven't done an underwater scene in a while, it was a nice change of pace. I like the bubbles. ^__^Characters Β©~akai-no-akuma

the fin is amazing, i like how its not just the cliche tail.
it has a sidefin and looks original, and the end flares out like the petals of a big flower. not the typical triangle fin.

Remarkable! I love what you did with the scales on his fish tail...it's not to defined, but it's there. And the way you captured the light on his form and the water effects.
