Description
Faeren and the Mistress of Illusion, the embodiment of the Forest that shelters and imprisons him. She holds and guards him like a jealous lover while he sleeps, but during the day she appears to him only as a little golden-white creature. He calls her Snoots and considers her a pet, but I think perhaps the opposite is true....I had to force myself to work on this slowly, 2-4 hours every couple days so I wouldn't torture my wrist. It's taken three weeks from start to finish, and I haven't ground so many pencils' guts onto paper since "Awakening "... Her hand gestures are suggesting that possesment of him. but his gentle hand resting on her coat shows he is ignorant of what she truly feels. her eyes are bold and saddened slightly. the slight part of her lips is so hypnotizing.. well done.

I'm not familiar with her work, although I do recognize her name from a vintage comic book store? There was a series on the wall there with very odd-looking elves on them, but the style did not appeal to me and I never asked. I'm not into comics or manga, so I'm afraid I have no idea who is what in the art world, now. ^__^;;

I love the idea of her ^^. It really is such a wonderful idea to have a forest embodied as a person ^^. Do the other forests have one? or is she just a general embodyment of all forests? AND, how did you come up with something like that!? Did you simply sit there and it just popped into your head?

I wouldn't recommend it...you should learn to draw from life, from photographs or what's around you. If you copy another artist, all you'll learn is to mimic that artist's style rather than to form a unique style of your own.
If you really want to draw this, though, I ask that you do *not* post your version online afterward, or use it in any way to promote your art or to make copies of.
