Description
First in a series of masquerade portraits done in 2005, matching several of my characters to the animal/creature they most associate with. This one is Faeren, and of course his theme is butterflies.---

Hey, at my school we're having a mascarade, I was wondering if you'd make a picture? You don't have to, but I noticed the "Do not use, alter, or re-distribute" sign. So I'm like "Yeaaaaaaaah, I'll ask." And that kinda led to this comment...Ya I know, pathetic.
Thanks anyway

Looking at your art work makes me feel like a failure as an artist!

Ack, don't think like that! Practice and determination are the keys to becoming an artist. When I first started my work wasn't even worth looking at, much less sharing, but I kept at it because I cared about what I was drawing, and I wanted to draw it how I saw it in my head. I'm still working toward that goal eleven years later. If you check my "Art Progression Chart" folder in my gallery, you can see where I started from, and I hope it will give you some encouragement. Just keep drawing what you love to draw.

I'd have to say it's like sipmly detailed. It makes me happy. Masks are kinda simbolic, maybe you have something hiding with your characters. I would work off that. ^_~
