I've actually always wondered howcome Elves and Vampires aren't a more popular romance pairing... I mean, they're a PERFECT match! ... Elves, the very embodiment of light, immune to all ailments (possibly even vampirism), recognised healers and they have a caring and light-hearted disposition. Vampires, the knights of the night, complete with a forced aversion to light, constant bloodthirst and a dark, tormented existence. Add to that the fact that they're both blessed/cursed with eternal life... So, with this many excuses to drama, fluttering hearts, burning passion, romantic tragedies and a shitload of other hoolabalooba that I didn't mention, it's, in my sincere opinion, both strange and a shame that Elf/Vampire fiction isn't twice as popular as the Lycanthrope/Vampire one.
