A very fun Fifth Doctor and Nyssa T-shirt design commissioned by Circular-Time !
I have been wanting to draw Five for a long while now, so I was quick to accept this one. In the process of learning to draw him I ended up with whole pages of other sketches to play with and maybe post later, so that was an extra bonus!

Thanks to Big Finish, the Fifth Doctor and Tegan Jovanka are a delight to hear. Both have chemistry and are fun together unlike the boring Clara Oswald of "classic series" Nyssa.

My favourite Doctor and my favourite companion. Heck, they're just pain far and away my fave TARDIS team ever (I wish they'd had more stories together just the two of them without Tegan coming back at the end of Arc of Infinity, they made such a good team). Also I wish Nyssa hadn't left when she did on Terminu.
This is really beautifully arted, and so so cute and I guess I've shipped them for like the last 15 or 20 years but that's not necesssarily a bad thing, right?

You should hear "The Butcher of Brisbane" where Nyssa is the fool lover of Magnus Greel. It was then I get tired of her, Big Finish has abused her for many years until it becomes a nuisance. I miss Peri and Erimem.

She isn't the lover of Greel. She gets engaged to him in order to spy on him, but there's a scene in which he very definitely asks for more than he's been getting from her so far. Luckily, they're interrupted before she has to compromise herself. Stringing him along, yes, but she was anything but a fool.

That sounds a lot more like the Nyssa I know and love than someone who would hook up with Greel (bleccch). Nyssa getting close to him to spy on him makes so much more sense.

Nooo, I wouldn't want to hear that at all. Nyssa is my favourite companion ever (well, maybe tied for first with Zoe), from what you say plus everything else I've heard over the years about how her character fairs after saying goodbye to Five, Tegan and Turlough on Terminus, it sounds like they ruined her character, and I don't really want to know about it.
That said, my other fave companion - Zoe - appears to have gotten the same treatment post-TV stories, what with her memory erasure breaking down and causing her to essentially go a bit crazy for the rest of her life.
I'll just stick to the TV series.

You really shouldn't listen to zzzteg, he has some strange vendetta against Nyssa in all forms of media. The Big Finish audios with her are actually wonderful and she and the Doctor do get many adventures with just the two of them being a brilliant team. My only warning would be that the audios tend to make the Five + Nyssa shipping stronger, if anything.

Well, that's really good to hear, that he was just making stuff up. Unfortunately, I can't afford to go buying Big Finish Audios anyway (chronic no-money syndrome), but I really wish I could in that case. I am most definitely a 5/Nyssa shipper, so that would be right up my alley! 
(I also ship Zoe/TARDIS, but most people think that's a bit of a weird pairing lol)

Completely understand the no money thing - the only way I've managed to buy as many of them as I have is by stalking their sales and only getting downloads instead of cds.

No, I'm sorry, this was a paid commission from a client for a T-shirt she wanted to wear to a Doctor Who convention to show the actors. I can't post a version without my watermark or other people could rip and print it everywhere and her T-shirt would no longer be unique.

As usual, you manage to perfectly capture them. I saw it and instantly liked it, I was surprised to see it was one of yours, since I hadn't seen you do any of the earlier Doctors. Cool!
And yes, they are definitely Team Nerd. I love that whole. "Can I have your sonic screwdriver, now a pencil" scene. Only Nyssa could so matter-of-factly short out a robot with a pencil. Loved it!
And definitely love that look on 5's face. Nyssa was always his favorite. (As attested by Peter Davison.)

This is so beautifully sweet, Adele. Three, Four and Five were the Doctors I was able to watch the most often. I really like the way you catch the characters' body language; and make each piece you create a short story.
