Description Just saw this in my head and needed to draw it. LOL
Basically I realised for the first time ever that the number of types is only a weird 17 until the moment you understand that Normal is the default type, leaving an interesting even 16 actual types.

Note the bright types making up the inner circle and the darker types making up the outer one.

If I could, I would make it a cube octahedron, but that's 3d...

It's interesting how not only do the colors of types on the inside correspond to some extent to those of types on the outside, but there's often also a loose thematic connection as well. For instance, Ground and Rock are both connected to the earth, Fire and Poison are both connected to chemical reactions and combustion tends to generate pollution, Psychic and Ghost to the supernatural, Fighting and Dark to combat styles, Electric and Steel to technology, Grass and Bug to the biosphere...

As more of a stretch, Ice and Flying are connected by both having to do with the atmosphere or weather, and Water and Dragon are connected by the strong mythological connection between sea monsters and dragons, and many dragons (and Dragon-types) are supposed to be found in or near water. (Sorry, I tried.)

Very nice. It would make for an ultimate gym badge. If only it could be use as an effectiveness reference.
