I managed to make something this time!
This time I went back to my old style after studying the colors from the new Atelier series (Rorona, Totori, Meruru). I always loved their colors, all pretty and rainbow like.
I was about done painting then I saw this one CG from the game.

and then I thought, "What the hell!?"
Well, if there are too many similarities, it's definitely a mistake on my part and I'm sorry about it.
So anyway...
This time I made something from Katawa Shoujo, a VN based on disabled girls. (You can get it here: [link] ) This girl here is Tezuka Rin, who was born without arms, so she used her legs for all her activities.

This is so beautiful. After going through Rin's path, and her good ending, this is basically what I want to do with her, just embrace her and let her know everything will be alright. What a sad and almost tragic story...

And as an artist, I can relate to some of her problems, which is a huge plus in my book.

People seem to forget a lot about Rin and only remember the general characteristics of her. I've played through her route again and actually noticed that in the beginning before the whole exhibition stuff, she actually seems happy. She smiled at you several times during conversations, and in one scene she tells you how she needs a haircut and shows it by shaking her head to fling her hair around, and then she smiles after doing that and Hisao observes that it looks like something she enjoys doing. Then she hugs Hisao on the rooftop like within the first 3 days of meeting him because he looked sad.
So to me, along with her quirkiness, she seems like a pretty sweet girl. But all everyone seems to notice are her quirks. And that is kind of sad to me.

Not to mention how her bad ending is the one that has her following her dreams, which made it much worse.

From what I've read of the bad ending (couldn't bring myself to actually do it now...), it's less that she's chasing her dreams, but hat she's running away. Most people agree that once she goes away and is by herself, she'll most likely kill herself...

That just made it a billion times worse than I expected.
Well I guess it makes sense by how desperate she was during the whole painting for the exhibition thing.
Without someone to guide her, she would be the next Van Gogh!

Yah, sorry, and yes, I actually just did it, had to bring myself to do it to get the 100% and the neutral ending, if you really read into what she says, the theory of her killing herself sounds about right. She basically gives Hisao a bunch of chances to tell her that she's not alone and he never says it. She confesses that she's not a real artist, and that she only does it hoping someone will see it and tell her he understands her so she won't be alone. She then confesses that she was hoping Hisao would be that person and how she feels what he's telling her in that ending isn't fair because he's told her things before that made her feel like he could be that person to make her not alone. Then she tells him that she's going away now and how she hopes he hates her so it'll make it easier for her to leave. And that's when she tells him that she has no arms to hug him with and that's what makes her a bad person... I think I left a puddle on my desk reading those things from her... Hisao is a major jerk in that ending...

That is the neutral ending though, not the sad ending. Yes I agree about everything except the suicide, I think she was more likely to commit suicide on the sad ending than the neutral one.
