James the housebreaker liked to choose easy victims - the elderly, women home alone, even kids. When his usual turf began to attract too much attention from the police, the lowlife thought he would try the South Asian part of town, targeting homes where the women were the only ones in once their fathers, brothers or husbands had gone to work.
‘After all,’ he reasoned, ‘those Muslim birds are all subservient to blokes, aren’t they? They’ll just hand over all their gold bangles and wedding gifts without a fuss. It will be like taking candy from an baby!’
Unfortunately for James, Yasmin many have worn a belted abaya and hijab, but she was no passive female of his imagination. As soon as the young woman heard the window being forced, she hid herself to one side, and as James’ head appeared, she seized him by his shoulders and hauled him into the room with cry of “Come to Ammi, creep!”
Yasmin was also a regular at the women-only classes at her local gym, whereas James spent most of his leisure time in the pub. To his shock and horror, the cocky burglar found himself quite unable to defend himself from Yasmin’s kicks and punches and was soon begging her to allow him to surrender. The girl was quite enjoying the work out but reluctantly agreed, ordering the crestfallen James to stand still while she tightly tied his hands behind his back with her mother’s dupatta. She then made the beaten man kneel down in front of her while she called the police.
Then Yasmin folded her arms and beamed at her glowering captive. “Bit off more than you could chew, eh, sunshine?” she mocked.
“Paki b***h!” James muttered under his breath. “I heard that!” the young Asian woman snapped. “Want me to gag you?”
“No, ma’am…” the burglar replied submissively, vowing never to make assumptions again.
