Stewart grabbed both the terrified girl’s wrists, easily confining them both behind her back in the grip of one of his hands while he hustled her towards the back of the office. He pulled open what Rachael had always presumed was a stationery cupboard. “There we are!” the devilish young man exclaimed triumphantly. The woman looked over her shoulder in alarm and saw with horror lengths of rope with assorted climbing equipment hanging there.
“Time for some team building, babe!” Stewart laughed and a frightened Rachael realised this was a reference to the climbing expedition Brian reputedly had planned for the department as part of a probably ill-advised bonding event.
“I need to watch the Man City/Real game. Let’s get you nicely tied up and out of my hair for ninety minutes at least!” the man grinned.
Stewart pulled two lengths of climbing rope out of the cupboard and then began to tie the helpless young woman’s wrists together behind her back. ‘“Let me know if I make it too tight, Rache.” he sneered.
Rachael began to sob, scarcely believing how her attempt to reveal corporate fraud had suddenly become a horror movie with her as the female lead….
