Yeah, Doodled in opencanvas and this is what came out.Quite happy with the body of that female Drider, and with the drow girl sticking her tongue out, made a close up of that one.
The face of the drider is crapforcrap, don't remind me.

They are drow which have been transformed, typically as a punishment, from the waist down so they have the lower body of a spider and, according to wikipedia and the player's handbook - Driders seem to retain their gender and characteristics after the transformation, but fertility is debatable.
Then again, supposedly as in Drow society AND spider 'society', females are the bigger, prominent and powerful ones. ._.

Well, drow males -are- physically smaller and less muscular. I don't know about
hiding, but I expect some aspects of drow society and physiology would carry over?

Yeah, that's probably true.
I was originally thinking size difference like the black widows; the females are two to three times larger than the males. My mental image was of dog-sized male driders carrying food and jewels to an average-sized female; kind of like a reverse harem!

Ah, the Drider.
I like driders, once the Drow venerated them as both the war-veterans they were, and as an manifestation of L'loth's, the spider goddess' power.
Now they're forgotten and shunned, and wander the depths of the underdark. Confused, bitter, lethal and for each passing day more of their dwindling numbers fall to insanity...
But Nevertheless cool!
