Description Crossing a defender's kill zone.




       

Story Notes:

1. These panels continue the quick cuts started on the previous page. It's a battle scene, so dialog should not slow the action. In a movie setting, add alternate angles of Kristina (the winged one) running down the tunnel or squeezing through a gap to show she doesn't pause much.
2. The only pause in these panels occurs in #4 where the little cone on the floor is located. Winged Kristina shouldn't look at it and would appear to be cutting away the fletching on one arrow to remove it from the other side.
3. In panel #4 just a moment after the 'dispell' statement is issued, the wings and glassy ball around Kristina should vanish suddenly. Her skin pigmentation returns to human normal (as seen in panel #5) a short moment after that. She should also drop to the ground and stumble slightly.
4. For anyone keeping track, the visible Kristina (an illusion) has one arrow stuck in each thigh and another stuck in her left foot in panel #4 and cuts out the one in her left thigh a moment before more arrows arrive in panel #5. The rate at which she removes them should give the impression that it is a losing battle.
