Description
With Spring coming back, the first trees which blossom attract scores of insects, including bees, aphids, and consequently ladybirds. In the part of the mountain where I live and shot this, those trees are the cherry tree and plum tree.
Wandering under the branches, the ladybird attracted my attention and for once I have been able to take a rather good picture of this insect...
I have cropped here the original file (4000*2248 pixels to 3400*2125 px), and tried a few other focus on the ladybug: 4000*1000 px, 2560*1600 px and 1680*1050px. If you want any of these files rather than the one here, just leave a comment or send me a note.

Wow, that's a nice shot!
You can even see its feet^^
And the whole image seem to shout "SPRING!"!
And thank you very much for uploading it in such high qualities and without watermark!

Thank you very much !
Concerning the quality and watermarks, I always make available the highest size possible, and I hate watermarks.
Besides, maybe I am foolish to do so, but I trust people not to misuse it or sell it to their own benefit...

Thank you, I am really glad to know you enjoyed it; ladybugs pictures are so common... And some have been taken with much better equipment, I can hardly challenge it.

That'a areally nice macro shot. Here you can see a really nice advantage of the high DOF of a camera with a small sensor. A macroshot with recognizable background is really seldom, i think. Keep it up

Thanks, I'm really glad you appreciate !
Actually, I appreciate this DOF too because my goal for this shot was to get two more elements correctly visible, after the ladybug: the leaves and the white blossoms.
I surely would have appreciated a perfectly sharp bug, but I do not have the possibility to set the aperture on my compact camera.
And that's interesting to see someone who enjoys macros with recognizable background; it was the reason why a fancy nature group declined the submission. To their minds, the background was disturbing, and not enough focus was on the ladybug...

Ok, maybe there are macro enthusiast which don't like such a background, but i do. I think that it's adding something like a third dimension to the shot
