Power: “Cardiac Control” - Much like animals in hibernation, Rachel can control her heart rate by focusing, lowering it to levels that would normally be dangerous for humans. By placing her whole hand on an individual, Rachel can also slow a person’s heart rate to her own BPM.
Drawbacks
- The change does not happen right away. Rachel needs about a minute or more to get hers’ and others’ heart rates down to her desired BPM.
- She does not know exactly what BPM she is lowering to, and needs a device to tell how low she is getting.
- At BPMs lower than 40, Rachel becomes lethargic and if she tries to do any strenuous activity that skyrockets her BPM, she risks dizziness and even fainting. The lowest she can go is 33 BPM without fainting.
- The farther her BPM is from her resting heart rate, the harder it is to maintain that heart rate. She needs total concentration for extremely low or high BPMs.

For someone so young, Rachel certainly acts much older than she should. Rachel likes to keep everything she has organized, usually planning everything ahead of time and making sure everything goes according to plan. Nothing much changes about her, so after getting to know her a bit, it can be pretty easy to predict what you are to expect from her. Rachel does have a short temper that you need to watch out for if you don’t want to get on her bad side. She doesn’t believe that people are inherently good, so she tends to be distrusting or even pessimistic. Not one for physical activity, Rachel prefers to be sitting in her office rather than being in the field.
Brief History: Rachel grew up in the Commoner’s District as the older sister of a single brother. Her parents weren’t there for most of her childhood, her mother spending all of her time at work or being blackout drunk, while her father left them when they were just five. For the most part, Rachel took care of both herself and her little brother. Their mother kept them fed, clothed and provided a roof over their heads, while Rachel took care of the rest. Despite being told she wouldn’t amount to anything by her own mother, Rachel managed to pull through school with good enough grades to get her into the Peacekeeper program, working for them while they pay for her tuition.
