It expresses my love for the Ogrelord, and doesn't require an explanation in text form in order for you to appreciate it's humorous value, unlike in this pic where the interpretation was straight laid out in the description and comments.
The picture is supposed to say a thousand words instead of a text under it explaining what you should take from it.

Well personally I find it neither humerous nor artistic in any way. Also took no skill whatsoever - in my humble opinion - and I get no meaning from it whatsoever...

With respect to your image, to paraphrase you...

This isn't art.
This did not take skill, imagination or express anything else than a crudely drawn ogre staring at the screen showing off his penis and testicles.

What does this image in itself express without a description? I want an honest answer. This ISN'T art.

Okay, I will try to give you an honest answer, but I don't know if I can give you an answer that satisfies you. After all this is coming from me, the wouldbe-artist with no skill and no imagination. Why would you even listen to such a person?

I wonder if it would change your mind if you saw the process behind such an image. It takes years of efforts to find such locations, such models, and to learn how to use the camera and the light. And then you to travel with all your equipment (30kg of lighting equipment) and do the actual shooting. Out of the 1'000 shots taken you have to decide which one is the very best and then you can go in postproduction which is several hours on severa days. And oh, you don't get paid for it, but you have to pay for it.

So, if something takes a lot of effort, is it art? Of course not or the space shuttle should also be art since it also took a lot of effort to build. You said real art should express something. To be honest I don't know if what I'm doing is art, but I can tell you what I want to express with it: that our modern day "sinners" are people, too. That's why I work with models from the adult industry (because they are considered to be "sinners" by some people). I think as a society we need to re-evaluate our relationship to erotic content. This is something I care about.

[This comment reflects sentiments that I wrote in response to one of Stefan's pictures about a year ago, but it bears repetition.]

I think that there is no question that Stefan's work is art, art that speaks to us according to the same principles as any great art. What he does here is to provide us with beautiful portraits of beautiful women, both clothed and naked. More than that, he presents us beautiful respectful portraits of the same women whom others have used for far less artistic works. Many or most of his models are women who also work in hardcore videos and photo sets. It is trivial to find pictures of these very same women that reduce them to mere body parts, works that clearly objectify women.

Stefan's portrayals are far more clearly of people. His models are the subjects of his work, they are actors, people, and not mere objects or collections of parts. Stefan will photograph his models beautiful rooms in places like Venice, dressed in beautiful period costumes, as well as in dishabille and naked. They may be sexy, saucy, flirty, and once a a very great while, even raunchy, but what they always are is people. Generally they gaze ay the viewer, engaging us in some sort of relationship.

One of the great principles of art and aesthetics (I'm a philosopher by training, so you'll forgive me if I have to get academic here) is the principle of "the Same in the Different". Great art makes us identify with people and situations that are different from us, make us see the commonality in the strange, the alien, or the very common. A great artist shows us an old woman, but does it in the way that we can see the beautiful young woman she once was and still has inside, to use an oft-cited example. Stefan reminds us that porn stars, even naked porn stars are people, not just collections of genitals and body parts.

Perhaps you have to know who his models are, to have seen Caprice, Evgeniya, Mia, and Malena in other contexts and other presentations to realize the contrast between Stefan's portrayals of them and those others, but even without that knowledge, without seeing his repeated message—"Porn stars are people, too"—there is still the message that beautiful women, beautiful naked women can be photographed with respect and artistry, that women are and can be treated as people. His models are at the heart of his work. His settings frequently reflect the colors of their skin and hair. The antique furnishings have feminine curves that reflect and repeat the curves of their bodies. It is clear that he takes great care in the set and setting of his sessions, and that he relates to his subjects as subjects not objects.

Yes, you can take prurient interest in his photos, see them as nothing but smut, but if you do, it is because that is all that you bring to the viewing of them, and that you are ignoring all the other aspects that he and his models are bringing to it. If you blind yourself to the beauty, the humanity, the artistry and the respect that are in his pictures—even the naughtiest—then it is a sad thing, even tragic that you do that to the world and how you relate to it. If you cannot see his message, and the people who are at the heart of it, then it is you who are impoverished and not him or them.

I have great respect for him, his models, and the respect he shows them and us.

You're right that the picture has to express something, and these are just porn. They doesn't show adult stars as "people" (more than most other porns) as she wants them to do.

I liked your Shrek drawing, I found it humorous despite the huge penis.

it is not "art" because the author does not use the woman to be "artistic", he uses her to make the picture more popular on the internet.

of course its beautiful, but in most people's opinion, you should not be able to come to the front page of an art website by taking a screenshot from pornhub.

but yea, this picture is an exception... even though the woman still plays a major role, the image is also focused around a really nice bathroom (the picture itself is great) - i dont really mind this one. but if you look at some of the pictures which get on the frontpage... i can just go on pornhub to see that stuff...

Is sex itself art? Depends, but I wasn't aware sexual intercourse was happening in the pic, other than a lusty or an actor paid to look lusty on camera.
