Description Does one need a holiday to eat pie? Probably not, but I'll take any excuse to do so! =9

Also, this is my first time building a pie lattice. Plus, the "pi" symbol owes its lovely contrast to a generous (and delicious) layer of ground cinnamon.

ok, you said it ! now I definitely want a slice of Pi cake for next Pi day !

so now, either you come for a conference, either you send a piece of that cake by the post

no cheating by sending a virtual version of the cake

adnileb In reply to Bouthan [2010-05-06 18:17:42 +0000 UTC]

hmmm...Can pies last the entire trip in the mail for that long?
Otherwise, I guess I will have to come over for a conference!
Hopefully you have baking supplies at your place.

Virtual cakes are just as tasty...they just take a bit more imagination. ^_~

Well made!

Thanks so much! Making pies for pi day has been a practice for me since it was suggested by my high school math teacher.

Hope it inspires you to make one too!

I've always wanted to do that. And never have the day off or remember in time to celebrate it properly.

Don't worry...you have another day this year to celebrate Pi day:

July 22 - 22/7 = 3.1415 or pi

Good luck and let me know how it turns out!

It was a pretty awesome-tasting pie. I think we finished it pretty quickly as well. Good thing I remembered to take a picture of it before we started digging in.

I totally made a Pi pie for Pi Day too (also Pi cookies). Mine was apple. This one looks like it involves cherries or something.

Oooh...pi cookies too? Sound yummy!

We actually made a pie dinner in celebration of Pi Day - veggie quiches (uses pie crusts at least ), chicken pot pie, chocolate cream pie, and berry pie (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries).

The berry pie is pictured here. Thanks for commenting!
