Description
A friend of mine put out a picture of her horse on facebook, and I had to draw it....It's an Icelandic horse named Snjall.
Relatively quick 3-4 hours.

I really like this, it's different and it works. I immediately thought it must be an Icelandic horse but I was still surprised to read in the description that I was right. It's not every day you can recognize a breed just based on the feet in a drawing. I believe that should tell you how good job you did.

That is absolutely beautiful. Once again, your tails astound me! And I like his boots One of my barn's horses has to wear similar boots to stop him from pulling his bar-shoes off when he canters. Or even trots, lol (he legs are sooo long he loses track of them sometimes!)

Thank you so much! I've always had a "thing" for drawing hair - especially on horses
It is common to use those weight-boots on Icelandics to help their gaits.

You see the hole drawing The photoref was like this because the horse has great hind legs and a lot of air in his movement
