Description
This is my first Friesian, and I am actually very satisfied with him.
It first, I shied away from the blackness of the coat ("Aw, I'll have to get into my dark tones so much..."), but I found that Friesians have this incredible high gloss that is just so much fun to draw. What do you think - good first effort? Here's the ref: [link]

I think the way you have done this piece is beautiful. You've brought out a great deal of texture in the fur, and the muscling is wonderful. I sort of like that its a little brighter. It makes it look like it was a very bright day. Friesians tend to look (dark) brown in bright sunlight, so having more variance in tone works well. <3
