this is a well deserved DD. you have amazing skills when it comes to photo manipulating...I love the use of the limited DOF here, it emphasizes the mask that much more with a blurry background. very effective perspective used here and the small details add to a very realistic, surreal image.
the phrase that comes to mind when i look at this image is "blind faith." the decision to keep basically all facial features out of this photo is what entices me the most. just a blank slate..perhaps someone who devotes all their life to a figure (and in the case of a crusader, someone who is inherently sacrificing their life for an unknown greater being..). nothing to distinguish them by other than their undying faith.. i could go on and on! what a fantastic piece 
p.s. i'm not sure what or even if there's a connection to the three pieces in this series but it's definitely making me think real hard
