Oh wow... Now THIS is surreal artwork. The way the inside of the bottom cut of the mask becomes an outward plane of the cross is fantastic, and you made this look seamless in the transition.
The ribbon floating through is a great touch as it not only ties the "mask" concept in, but floats that ear along to complete the actual face motif as well.

This is awesome work, wonderfully done!!

That's a classic "surreal art" tool. Artists like M.C.Escher used that type of thing constantly.
