Description

This crossbow, known as the Eclipse of the Anvil, was forged in the heart of Mount Draugr, under a sky cloaked by the shadow of a solar eclipse, an event revered by dwarves as a sign of great change. The master smith, Urgon Wyrmbane, combined the darkest ironwood with metal from a fallen star, creating a weapon as formidable and unpredictable as the celestial forces that inspired its creation.
Properties of the Eclipse of the Anvil:
Star-Forged Bolts: The crossbow creates its own ammunition from the cosmic energy it harbors, materializing star-forged bolts when drawn. These bolts emit a faint, otherworldly glow, providing light equivalent to a candle.
Gravitational Pull: Once per long rest, upon a successful hit, the wielder can activate the crossbow's power to attempt to pull another enemy within 10 feet towards the struck target, as if by a sudden gravitational force.
Celestial Alignment: When a ranged attack roll made with this crossbow results in a natural 20, the critical hit triggers a burst of radiant energy that deals extra damage to the target and illuminates the area in a 30-foot radius as bright light for 1 minute.
