Description
Alrik, Egil's brother, is the newest member of the adoptabot family!Robot sculpture assembled from found objects by Brian Marshall - Wilmington, DE. Items included in my sculptures vary from vintage household kitchen items to recycled industrial scrap. Some of my favorite items to use are old oil cans, aluminum measuring spoons, electrical meters, retro blenders, anodized cups, and pencil sharpeners.

Fantastic! Bursting with personality. I only work with plastic found objects, wish I could do metal ones like yours!

Wow! I just checked out your stuff. Very cool! And the fact that yours actually transform is awesome! I am sure you could work in metal if you can work in plastic. I don't weld and only rarely solder something. Almost everything is drilled and bolted. You should give metal a try some time. I gave plastic a shot one time. He looks like a cross between Bart Simpson and Frankenstein. But he is nothing like the pieces you make though. Yours are much more complicated.

Thanks, you're too kind! I'm just trying to do something a little different then other found object artists. I really think your work has much more mass appeal then a few guys who like Mech models standing on their self. Your stuff are fantastic & humorous works of art that people old and young would enjoy placing in their house, plus could really last a while. I haven't thought about selling or displaying my stuff but it does intrigue me after what you mentioned. I'm still learning how to paint my robots.

This is so cool! It reminds me of Clank from the "Ratchet & Clank" games.

He is, but right now he is in a gallery show in Hong Kong. If he does not sell there, he will be coming back to me at the beginning of July.

Hello, actually, most of my available stuff is online at www.adopt-a-bot.com
If there is something that is not there I might still have it available. I have pieces out right now in Pittsubrgh, Wilmington (DE), and Hong Kong. If there is something you want let me know and I can let you know if it is available and how much. If it is not, I can often find a "cousin" with similar characteristics to adopt.
Thanks,
Brian
