Description
Just a quickie, which I'll probably relegate to scraps soon. I wanted to test my new bottle of scarlet ink, which meant someone would have to take a shiv to the guts. This poor fellow turns up pretty regularly in my drawings, whenever I need someone to be stabbed, intimidated, have their heart torn out etc. He does agony and perplexity well, but not a great deal else. His name, for no very good reason, is Archie Inkweed.Ink, ink, gouache, pencil and ink. Yes, I should've ruled a proper grid first, but I have all the patience of a mayfly.

oh man, this is so cool. I love the idea of using the blood to deliniate the tiles - best new art supply inspiration ever. I really like the way you render fabric as well.

the flip works nice for the guy, but i think compositionally the drain worked better on the right side. right now my eye gets stuck on it, esp cuz we're used to reading left to right. jus sumthing to think bout~

you should flip that one on its side or upside down so it looks more like he's on the floor instead of standing (easiest fix ever!)
