Description
This has to be one of my proudest creations I have made yet. One year ago, I created a trio landscape space series. I won't talk about much of my inspiration(s). To be honest, I am little shy talking about what inspires me to do such things. Especially this piece in particular. There were a lot of things I wish I could have done this year (heh, regrets, regrets), but I am truly happy that I am able to do this one at least and I get to end my Senior year in high school with this piece.
I truly feel this one is a defining moment in my ability to create art. Thank you for watching and especially waiting. I hope this piece is worth it.
This piece can be printed in 6x2 ft. I am going to print it. Maybe print three.

I like the clarity of the panorama, it's like High Def. Great soft colors and purps as well.

Over a period of month and a half (was very busy with IB/AP testing), I would say I spent 8-9 hours total, maybe more. Used Terragen 2 and Photoshop to make this.
Thank you for the comment

Wow, this is really quite a nice job! I see a lot of these types of images on dA and this is one of the better ones. At first glance I almost thought this was a work by `tigaer (meant as a compliment!). Once again, excellent work.

I used a combination a 3d model and brushes based on the models I have available . It helps on the realism to have them more silhouette-like. The 28333x5333px (actual size) shows the more subtle details better especially on those trees.

loool, such a huge resolution xD
and did you model all those trees to?

It's a Caucasian Fir (Abies normanniana) by Xfrog. In terms of placement and brushing, that would be mine. The base model, would be Xfrog's which you can get as a free download.

And if you have seen my journal, even though art is a hobby for me, I am so serious and passionate that I am willing to get my mobile art studio completed.
My Macbook, my Wacom and hopefully that DSLR one day. I am really grateful to those people who helped me in making it such a possibility.

i am glad you are so passionate about your hobby
but remember
the tools dont make the artist

Undoubtedly tools hardly make a person instantly good. It would be like buying edible gold if I don't use them effectively and creatively. Speaking of which, I have a cousin who bought a Canon EOS 40D camera and dammit, it's a great camera. That thing is in the thousands and she can't properly use that camera. For her use, she would be better off with the more basic cameras. I would love to have that camera and get a telescope lens and do that panoramic project I dreamed of.
But yes, I can only get better with the kind of foresight to make incredible things .
