how do you get the green color pattern for the lines?

You have to have Photoshop, or similar program, that has a feature on the paint bucket tool that allows for one click changing of a color in the entire drawing. The first thing is to change the color of the ship to white. Then any other color that is a detail, such as deflector grid which is usually gray, is changed to black. Once the entire drawing is literally black and white you then change the black lines to green. So now you have a green object with all internal colors white on a white background. Then change all white to black and viola!
