Description
Part of my Voyage Home project, attempting to re-create the Bridge of the Enterprise, as seen on the end of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, for all of about 10 seconds. Some of the designs were re-used briefly on early seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but the "voyage home" graphics remain the hardest to find of all Trek graphics. This is unfortunate, since they are the very first "Okudagrams" (graphics created by Michael Okuda, and have become the look of Star Trek ever since the beginning of TNG).Much like the Communications panel, a lot of this one was guesswork as well. While the displays themselves are official, the layout was kinda guesswork, especially since this panel has never been seen on screen. Again I tried to stay as close to the reference material as I possibly could

Hey Keiichi, me again. noslack6867. Any chance on finding reference for the Helm/Nav console? I am building a physical model out of foam core of this bridge form the end of STIV and if it is ok by you, will use your work as a reference for the bridge stations you made but the Helm/Nav panel you did is from the next ST picture. I was able to find a screen capture from ST IV but it only give you a blurry idea of the layout. Any ideas?

I'll have to work on that. I had considered building a layout (based on the awful angled blurry shot we get), but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I like your work. If you are still looking to complete bridge stations from the end of ST IV, I found a photo of Gene Roddenberry and his wife sitting on set at Spock's science station. It clearly shows the design of the graphics layout for a portion of the console and the monitors of the station next to it. I am sure you could extrapolate the exact readouts. The only drawback as that the pic is black and white. Still it is coll to see more of the bridge that was not shown in the movie. You can contact me if you want me to send it to you.

that is how I was able to find the center panel. I adore that picture, and it makes me happy that Majel could contribute to my Trek fandom in her passing <3

I wish I could take credit for it.
The graphics were from the book "Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise"

Ah, Mr Scott’s Guide, certainly answers that; I was going to ask when I noted your use of the ‘Transwarp’ Geometry nomenclature..
