Description
Seems the Temporal-Spatial rift near Tholian space is a two-way door between the universes....pity the Federation science ship that found this relic....One thing I love about the Mirror Universe, is all of the stories that could come from it.
The thing I didn't like, was when DS9 made the Federation of the M.U. a bunch of losers.
But, since there can be a near-infinate number of Universes, maybe the Empire's still around...

That is such a potential "Botany Bay...? oh no we have to get out of here!" moment right there lol

In some of the books and comics based on Star Trek the Mirror Universe does indeed exist in the 24th century. The DS9 novel "Fearful Symmetry" features a "Fleet Captain" Sisko from a Terran Empire along with other alternate Siskos. The TNG novel "Q & A" borrows a lot of concepts from the episode "Parallels" as well including a quantum incursion of several Enterprise - E's appearing including an ISS Enterpise (NCC-1701-E).
While I was not much of a fan of the series 'Enterpise' and reject a lot of what passes for "canon" in it, I did like certain concepts including the Terran hull markings from "In A Mirror Darkly Pt. 1 & 2". Those "smears" are meant to resemble flames . . at least that is how I interpreted them. I thought they made the ships look less like their Earth/"Normal Universe" counterparts.
p.S. Remastered TOS rocks!

Well it doesn't count as Mirror Universe but I really enjoy the "Myriad Universes" series of books that tell tales set in different Quantum Universes featuring characters from all the Star Trek series.

Those hull markings for MU ships from "Enterprise" look so stupid.

I know; I don't mind the dagger & planet, but I'm still trying to figure out the big paint smear....

Haha, well said! I think the Smear is a bit overkill; if it was a logo, I could understand that, but it's just a bit yellow blob of NOTHING.
But we saw the Mirror ISS Enterprise in "Mirror, Mirror," and it didn't have that ridiculous smudge.

I haven't seen the remastered one, but I don't think it's there, either...

Nope, they didn't. That's ONE thing they actually got right in the Remastered episodes.

Wouldn't it be weird if the Animated series counted as a separate universe?
