For those not in the know: Roger Perry, himself a veteran of the USAF, played Captain John Christopher on the Star Trek episode, "Tomorrow Is Yesterday", wherein the Enterprise is accidentally exposed to the US military of the late 1960s. Christopher was rescued from his disintegrating fighter by the crew and--due to his exposure to future technology--to be taken with them back to the 23rd century, when Spock revealed that the pilot had not yet fathered Shaun Geoffrey Christopher, an important historical person and explorer of the Solar system.
