Yeah. Totally fucked up. (I didn't even go and see The Fall of Skywalker. Or is it the Rise of Palpatine?) Don't know anymore. Don't care. It sounds like it's nothing more than a TRIPLE mcguffin chase.

Nah, they could've kept Rey being a nobody but maybe reveal that she's also a padawan with erased memories to at least explain why she's so good at things (it wouldn't fix the fact she's a boring character, but some credible explanation would be nice, fuck this "the Force decides to overpower someone" or "she downloaded the training from Kylo Ren"), and the story should've been about stopping Snoke from returning, whilst maybe explaining where he came from to begin with, instead of bringing Palpatine back only to kill him again.

Would've been probably a lame, average at best film, but at least it wouldn't have been the clusterfuck we got.

The Sequel Trilogy amounts to pissing on the OT, only to then imitate it and end on the same note... What's the point of these films then?
I know it sounds cliche to say "they did it because THEY'VE GOT TO HAVE... MONEEEEEEY" but it really applies here. They did the laziest job because they wanted a quick buck and thought that everyone will eat up anything as long as it's Star Wars and George isn't involved.
Glad they were proven wrong by the fan backlash, still saddened that we ended up with shitty films, the OT cast deserved better.
